Tools for Warehouses provides general calculation and organization aids. Results are estimates or transformations based entirely on the data and settings supplied. They are not engineering, safety, legal, accounting, financial, procurement, inventory-control, or other professional advice.
Storage and structural risk
Capacity and utilization results do not establish safe loads or compliant layouts. Verify rack beams, uprights, connections, anchors, slabs, shelves, bins, pallets, load distribution, clearances, egress, fire protection, seismic conditions, equipment access, and local requirements using approved documentation and qualified people. Never use a calculated position load to create or replace a rack load notice.
Inventory and replenishment risk
Reorder points, safety stock, ABC classes, aging buckets, and schedules depend on record accuracy and model fit. They can miss demand shifts, intermittency, lead-time shocks, criticality, shelf life, lot status, order constraints, and transaction timing. Confirm actions in the responsible source system and under your organization’s control procedures.
Slotting and pick-path risk
Velocity bands and coordinate sorting are not facility-aware optimization. Review ergonomics, item compatibility, hazardous or regulated goods, security, temperature, product affinity, replenishment, congestion, travel rules, equipment, and the physical route. Stop if an output conflicts with a location restriction or safe work practice.
CSV and date handling
Keep original files unchanged and backed up. Confirm required headers, units, decimal conventions, dates, duplicate rows, missing values, and the displayed preview. Downloads are newly generated files and do not update a WMS, ERP, accounting platform, or other source system.
